Details emerge for Hawaii broadband P3

The government of Hawaii has released details on its broadband P3 ahead of today’s pre-bid conference

The state is seeking proposals for a secure open access, carrier neutral, multi-tenant cable landing station that will serve as a regional and international interexchange platform for broadband communications in the Pacific Basin. 

Under the plans, the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) seeks to establish a P3 structure for a private partner to design, build, finance, operate, manage and maintain the project.
