Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure and Project Finance
John Tanyeri is Head of MetLife's Infrastructure and Project Finance investment team. In this capacity, he oversees a team of credit analysts in the US and UK that have originated a $14 billion portfolio.
Mr. Tanyeri relocated to the UK in December 2013 to build out the infrastructure origination platform in Europe. Under his leadership, MetLife became recognised as a leading life insurance company portfolio lender generating average annual volume of $3 billion. In 2012, MetLife Private Capital Investors was recognized for its infrastructure debt investment capabilities, being named 2012 "Global Institutional Investor of the Year" by Project Finance International magazine. In 2015, Mr Tanyeri returned to the U.S. and MetLife Private Capital Investors was named 2015 "Global Institutional Investor of the Year" by Infrastructure Investor (PEI) magazine.
Prior to joining MetLife in 1996, Mr. Tanyeri worked in a variety of investing and finance functions at Salomon, Incorporated.
He holds a BS degree in Finance from the College of New Jersey and an MBA in Finance from the University of Tennessee.Back to speakers
